There are only two areas where tourniquets need to be used: the forearm (just under the armpit) and the upper thigh. Choose a cloth belt with a width of at least 5 cm (2 inches) as the hemostasis belt. If you are forced to use narrower wires (wires or ropes), you must put on folded layers of cloth to reduce discomfort and avoid damaging nerves or muscles.

止血带使用禁忌症：
Contraindications of tourniquet use
1.开放性外伤伤口、污染创口超过 6 h 以上；
1. Open wound and contaminated wound for more than 6 hours;
2.皮肤如果有损伤、水肿等情况；
2. If the skin is damaged or edematous;
3.血栓性脉管炎、静脉栓塞、严重动脉硬化、血管性疼痛患者；
3. Patients with thromboangiitis, venous embolism, severe arteriosclerosis and vascular pain;
4.血液病患者慎用。
4. Patients with hematopathy should use it with caution.
